Starry sky

Prolekte: Sternenhimmel

As an essential component of a Masonic temple, a starry sky is emblazoned above the so-called work carpet - also known as a work table. The working carpet with numerous Masonic symbols and the starry sky above it form the centre of a Masonic temple.

The starry sky, a symbol of order, beauty and infinity for the Freemasons, is usually depicted in a reduced and stylised way. The starry sky of the CHRONOS MANUFAKTUR , on the other hand, shows the entire northern hemisphere as a realistic star map. Great circles, stars, constellations and the Milky Way are depicted on a body with a diameter of 1500 mm. The most important stars are illuminated according to their size class with the help of 250 glass fibre light guides of different diameters.

One-off production 2017/18 for the brothers of the lodge; no further replicas planned.
