Kepler sundial

Prolekte: Kepler-Sonnenuhr

Johannes Kepler (1557-1630) precisely described the planetary laws of motion in the Astronomia Nova of 1609. Kepler's first two laws are still central to the construction and understanding of sundials today.

In honour of Kepler's life's work and in line with the United Nations' "International Year of Astronomy 2009", we made a sundial that displays the true local time (WOZ) as an equatorial sundial.

The Kepler sundial combines natural science with classic aesthetics. Purist design meets the high-quality workmanship of the best materials.

One-off production in 2009; no further replicas planned.
